Fleeting Thoughts
I have “fleeting thoughts” all the time. A fleeting thought is an idea or notion that pops into my brain that I (typically) squash almost immediately. I squash it because I either think it’s wrong (both morally and logically) or because I don’t want to grapple with the ramifications of letting it linger- like the idea that it may actually be correct.
They’re uncomfortable, unsettling, and often challenge the narratives we’ve built around ourselves and the world. But what if fleeting thoughts aren’t meant to be squashed or ignored? What if they’re actually invitations—opportunities to dig deeper into our beliefs, assumptions, and biases?
This blog is an experiment in critical thinking. Everything can be questioned. I’ll share my fleeting thoughts, unfiltered and raw, as a way to hold space for exploration and self-reflection. Some of these ideas may provoke, others may resonate, but all of them come from a place of genuine curiosity.
So, consider this your disclaimer: these are not fully formed opinions, nor are they declarations of truth. They are musings, wrestlings, and questions that I feel compelled to confront. Let’s embrace the discomfort together, and who knows? We might uncover a truth or two along the way.
Let’s get into it.
